How to Configure and Adjust Layouts?
What Is a Layout?
A layout is the arrangement of elements on a page, including titles, images, filters, and other components. In this system, layouts are designed to allow users or merchants to easily change the appearance of their pages without having to build everything from scratch.
Layouts help streamline the customization process, making it faster, more efficient, and accessible even without advanced technical skills.
Before proceeding to this step, make sure you have activated Sledge Core and added the Product Filter Widget to your theme.
Purpose of Layout Settings
The purpose of setting up a layout includes:
- Making it easier for users to customize the page layout as needed.
- Saving time by providing ready-to-use structures.
- Allowing users to focus on content rather than starting with a blank layout.
How to Configure a Layout
- Go to the Product Filter page.
- Then, the page will redirect to the Filter Groups section.
- Click the Layout Tab.
- The layout settings, including available templates, will appear.
- At the bottom, you’ll see a button labeled “Advanced Settings.” Click this button to access more options.
- The layout configuration options will appear.
- Select the layout you want to use.
- For example, we will use the horizontal layout.
- Then, click the Save button located at the top center of the page.
- You can now view the changes on your storefront
