What is Filter by Prefix?

Filter by Prefix is a feature that allows you to display only specific filter items based on a defined prefix in product tags. This is useful for narrowing down the filter options to only the relevant ones, especially when you have many tags.

Before proceeding to this step, make sure you have activated Sledge Core and added the Product Filter Widget to your theme.

When to Use:

To keep your filter panel clean and focused.
To simplify the user’s filter experience.

How to Use:

Go to the Product Filter page.

Select one of the Filter Groups you want to configure.
Click the Edit icon on one of the filter groups to enter its detail page.

You will see a list of Filter Items. Click on the filter item you want to configure.
You will be taken to the Edit Filter Item page.

Locate the Advanced Settings section and click the button to expand it.
Scroll down until you find the option labeled "Select filter items to display."
Change the setting from All to Filter by prefix.

Review the list of filter items displayed on your storefront.

If you only want to display items with a specific prefix (e.g., autumn ), only items starting with autumn will appear.
As an example, enter autumn in the input field and click Save.

Return to your storefront.
Now, only the filter items that begin with the prefix autumn will be displayed.
